SEVENTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME
The Group

The Group

EURIPIDES converges the research potential of highly qualified groups across Europe.

Our strategy of using parallel work packages to be carried out in multiple institutes is ideal for developing and evaluating new molecular probes, whilst benefiting from each centre’s previous and ongoing experience, as each step in the process can take a considerable amount of time.

The EURIPIDES multidisciplinary approach is based on integration of the clinical and basic science domains and on the synergistic combination of neurophysiological and biomolecular imaging methods.

The EURIPIDES consortium fulfils key prerequisites:

  1. considerable expertise in the analysis of structural/functional imaging in-vivo in humans and animal models,
  2. availability of a significant amount of human tissue from patients with well-defined conditions for morphological, electrophysiological and biomolecular analyses, which can be compared with in-vivo imaging data obtained from suitable animal models.
